Welcome to Isle of Wight Open Studios

Join us as we celebrate the vibrant creativity of Isle of Wight artists for the annual Open Studios event! As a newly formed CIC (community interest company), we at Isle of Wight Open Studios are dedicated to showcasing the diverse talents of our community, inviting local, Island artists to share their work with the world - expanding upon the diverse ecosystem of artistic talent that already exists here on the Isle of Wight.

IW OPEN STUDIOS 2026

Our annual event takes place over 11 days from Friday 15th May to Monday 25th May 2026, with an incredible 200 Island artists expected to open their studio doors!

A printed, Island-wide IW Open Studios Artist Directory will be available from 20th April, highlighting all participating artists taking part in 2026 - which will available from Quay Arts (Newport), Monkton Arts (Ryde), Dimbola Museum & Galleries (Freshwater) and Ventnor Exchange. During our annual Open Studios event, you can wander through studios, local venues, pop-up exhibitions and galleries, where you'll encounter a rich tapestry of artistic expression. From contemporary marvels to traditional treasures, there's something for everyone. Best of all, admission is free at all venues! So come and immerse yourself in the world of painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, and more, and meet the makers behind the art.

IW OPEN STUDIOS SHOWCASE EXHIBITION 2026

For 2026, we will host an IW Open Studios 2026 Showcase Exhibition at Quay Arts (Newport), featuring work from over 90 Open Studios artists across the Isle of Wight. This vibrant exhibition will celebrate the diversity of creative practice on the Island - from painting and printmaking to ceramics, sculpture, textiles, photography and more. The showcase exhibition be open daily from 18th April - 30th May 2026 and will offer visitors a unique preview of the creativity on display during the Open Studios event in May 2026.

TAKING PART IN OPEN STUDIOS

Open Studios welcomes all Isle of Wight artists to take part – whatever stage you’re at in your career. Taking part of IW Open Studios is super easy. Simply pay a one-off annual fee to register online and participate. It's a streamlined process designed with you in mind, so all you need to do is input your ‘about you and your work’ and your Open Studios event details in the 'My Open Studio' section and you’re all set! You can select what dates/times you want to open your studio during the 11 day Open Studios period. Please note - Artist Registrations for IWOS 2026 closed on Sunday 1 February 2026, midnight.
