Flecked Clay Vessels with Satin White Glaze
The items in this gallery are either hand thrown on my potters wheel or hand-built from a beautiful flecked clay. They have been bisque fired first and then fired again to stoneware temperature of 1240 degrees celsius, where the flecks in the clay show through the white satin glaze giving a lovely effect.Â
Primarily, functional items, they are dishwasher and microwave safe, as I have used a food safe glaze.
As these are handmade items, each one varies slightly in shape, size and glaze which gives each its own unique charm. They are not identical, but sit well more as part of a family.
