IW Open Studios 2025 News!

Following the success of our 2024 event, the Isle of Wight Open Studios team are excited to announce new dates & a host of enhanced features for 2025!

Isle of Wight Open Studios 2024 saw a fantastic response from both artists and visitors, with over 120 artists participating. The event was promoted widely online through social media and across a wide range of news sources.  Articles were printed in issues of Style of Wight and The Observer, and The Guardian featured Isle of Wight Open Studios in their article ‘Ten great ideas for August bank holiday’. 

55% of the artists completed our feedback form, reporting an average of 125 visitors per artist equating to a total of just over 6000 visitors.  More than 88% of participating artists made sales, with 66% reporting earnings of over £100, and over 32% earning more than £500 during the event.  2024 visitors said “It was great, looking forward to next year” and “It was a truly tremendous time & opportunity. So generous of the artists to open their studios and give their time so freely. I had so many immensely interesting and rewarding conversations with artists, and absolutely loved seeing the work. Especially in their own working studios. And bringing home some very beautiful original treasures.”

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2025...

The Isle of Wight Open Studios is set to run from 16th to 26th May.  These earlier Spring dates have been set after very careful consideration of both artist feedback and the wider schedule of arts events taking place across the Island during the Summer months, and it is the intention that Isle of Wight Open Studios will become a regular May fixture. 

NEW FEATURES FOR 2025:

Printed Directory: An island-wide IWOS brochure will feature all participating artists, helping visitors plan their studio tours and discover the wealth of talent on the Island.

Enhanced Digital Experience: IWOS will introduce an upgraded online platform where artists can register, share events, and showcase their work year-round on the Calendar page. This will provide a dynamic digital space for artists to connect with both local and global audiences.

Showcase Exhibition: A special preview exhibition at Quay Arts’ West Gallery will run throughout April-May 2025, giving artists a chance to highlight their work ahead of the event.  There will be both opening and closing events as opportunities for artists, visitors, sponsors, press and other interested parties to come together to celebrate and promote the diverse talent that exists here on our Island.

Artists Invited to Register: Artists are encouraged to register for the 2025 event before the December 29th deadline. Stay updated by following @IWOpenStudios on Facebook and Instagram for artist profiles, inspiration, and event news.

DEADLINE FOR ARTIST REGISTRATIONS: 

Sunday 29th December 2024, midday. Register now by clicking on the ‘Members Area’ tab at the top of the website.

HOW TO REGISTER:

Returning Artists: Log in to your account via the 'Members Area' and select the “Renew” option for IWOS 2025. You’ll need to complete a new application for your IWOS 2025 event, but your previous submission will be available for reference to make the process easier.
New Artists: Register via the ‘Join Open Studios’ button on our website and fill out your public profile page and your IWOS 2025 event details.
