Ianbarrowpottery

My pottery journey began when my daughters participated in an open day at Jubilee stores, this sparked my own interest in the craft.

Immediately engaged in throwing pottery, I soon became consumed by mastering the art, mainly concentrating on functional objects.

This progressed to developing glazes and experimenting with glaze combinations to achieve aesthetically pleasing textures and colour results.

I’ve recently delved into sculpting figures, creating expressive and detailed representations of people, both iconic and imagined.

My work reflects a love of both traditional and contemporary forms.
