Joel Lines

My style is influenced by my upbringing and involvement with carnival costume, puppetry, props, performance and stage production. I was raised in a family of artists and was encouraged to use my skills towards A level, foundation and degree level at Central Saint Martins where I studied Fashion Print. I love drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, digital work and many more media. If making costumes or fashion pieces, sustainable methods are key for me. I have run creative workshops for  community groups, including 'Trash to Trend’ - a sustainable youth fashion show. I am also interested in up-cycling clothing and textiles to create unique pieces to sell. I will continue to perform in carnivals with New Carnival and Shademakers UK.
